Tradition and respect

Each M A L U collection is limited, created from a dedicated wood species
– in this case Quercus rubra (red oak). The collection refers to the traditions of carpentry, while at the same time maintaining a modern design. Respect for the environment is one of M A L U ‘s core values, therefore all hardwood used in production came exclusively from certified suppliers (Forest Stewardship Council). We also applied a zero-waste philosophy to the production process

Design and technology

Intense cooperation between designer Nikodem Szpunar and our construction experts
resulted in unique forms that display the beauty of natural material to the full. Cross-sections of the interpenetrating elements are complemented by strongly rounded, softened edges.
Thanks to the use of traditional carpentry joints (such as dovetail), construction elements gain a new decorative aspect.
